Community Garden – August 2021

The Community Garden group met last Sunday, 29th August. We had a short working bee, refreshing the beds with compost and more soil ready for summer plantings. The leafy greens need to be picked regularly to keep them producing, so if you want some spinach, silver beet, parsley or chives please visit the garden and pick some!

We planted a few more spinach and lettuce seedlings to keep the crops going into summer. Next month, when it’s warmer we’ll start the tomato and cucumber planting.

Next working bee September 26th at 1:30 pm. Everyone is welcome.
